The Manager - Debt Management is responsible for effectively managing the Company's debt portfolio, including leading the management of reporting, compliance, and financial analysis.
This position ensures the tactical execution of debt agreements, cultivates strong relationships with stakeholders, and optimizes financial resources to ensure sustainable growth and financial stability.
Critical Duties:
Serve as primary contact for stakeholders, including lenders and Blackstone Capital Markets Team, as related to all debt functions and effectively communicate and problem solve with team members, other departments, and senior leadership in all necessary areas related to debt management.
Collaborate with the Blackstone Capital Markets Team to facilitate transactions including, but not limited to:
loan closings; modifications; refinancings, etc.
Review credit terms, loan, and credit agreements throughout the transaction process alongside Blackstone Capital Markets Team and the Company's legal counsel, collaborating with internal teams as necessary.
Analyze and interpret various loan documents including, but not limited to:
loan agreements, notes, guarantees, Collateral Agency and Security Deposit Agreements (CASDAs), etc.
Communicate relevant information to internal departments for use in Company decision making.
Track and manage all debt agreements, including monitoring lender covenants and reporting requirements.
Serve as primary contact for lenders on required quarterly/annual reporting and lead engagement with lenders on on-going requests and notices.
Essential Duties (Other duties maybe assigned):
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement debt management process improvements, including evaluating and integrating new products to achieve efficiencies.
Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
Assist with analyzing current and proforma debt metrics to ensure maintenance of loan covenants.
Create and review loan abstracts for closed loans in online financial risk management platform.
Work cross functionally and in conjunction with internal stakeholders including Asset Management, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Investment Teams to provide accurate and timely responses to various ad-hoc lender requests.
Have ongoing strong working knowledge of evolving trends, best practices, and/or strategies that can be applied to day-to-day work, the department, and/or the organization, and proactively communicate those best practices and/or strategies to the necessary team members and/or leadership.

Education/
Experience:
3-5 years demonstrated experience in finance, banking, or debt capital markets.
Bachelor's degree with Real Estate and/or Finance emphasis and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
